Thank you for your interest in the Microfinance Capacity Building Fund. Please note that the deadline to submit an application is November 30, 2012.
The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) is pleased to announce the 2nd call for proposals of the Microfinance Capacity Building Fund (“MCBF”). Award amounts will range from 200,000 USD to 500,000 USD per project, depending on the activity, and will be given to approximately 6-8 awardees.
Rating and auditing agencies, financial institutions, and network associations from West and Central Africa are invited to apply.
Applications for Activity 1 “Transparency”are welcome from countries in the Economic and Monetary Union of Central Africa (CEMAC) which consists of Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Republic of Congo.
Applications are also welcome for Activity number 2 “Rural Financial Development” from institutions in WAEMU (Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo). Other countries within the ECOWAS region could be considered on a case by case basis.

Note: After completing the registration step, the MCBF will review your information. If approved, you will be sent a proposal code, which will allow you complete the application process. You must have a proposal code in order to download a proposal form and submit your proposal.
